In WordPress, you can control this from your Admin dashboard under Settings/Reading. Toggle between Summary to keep only a short excerpt (and then use the {{ITEM-DESCRIPTION}} merge tag in your Digesto template) or Full text (in which case, use the {{ITEM-CONTENT-ENCODED}} merge tag in your Digesto template).
